Movie Phantom is filmed independently with an estimated budget around ten million dollars. The movie is a brain child of Todd Robinson. With experience in producing, writing and directing, Todd managed to use full potential of his skills. This movie has relatively low budget when compared with Hollywood movies. Considered that most of the action is placed in a submarine, this budget becomes sufficient in many ways. David Duchovny and Ed Harris are starring as Bruni and captain Demi. After 76 days on the watch, captain Demi gets assigned to a new experimental submarine. With many things deviating from rules of the service, this embarking makes captain Demi cautious. He is responsible for a classified submarine with nuclear warheads placed on ballistic projectiles. During the mission captain figures out that from the beginning ship was destined to cause the war. Movie focuses on moral dilemmas and how characters react in a dead end situation. Atmosphere in the movie is claustrophobic to the maximum. Loyalty, betrayal and ideals are colliding in a cramped space of the submarine. Fact that movie Phantom is based on real events changes impression that is left on the audience. Beside David Duchovny and Ed Harris rest of the crew performed above expectation for independent movie. Phantom will keep close attention of the audience for full 98 minutes and it leaves a strong impression.
