Based on the novel written by Pierre Boulle, comes a movie adaptation about the world in which there is another species dominant and the humans are considered a primitive species. With the directing skills of Tim Burton, whose movies are worldwide known, this movie was a huge success. The whole story is placed in the years 2029, as an astronaut called Leo Davidson (Mark Wahlberg) gets board a space cruiser that will send him on a routine mission. This mission has one goal only: to investigate the space and see if there is some possibility that any kind of enemy can attack them. But, as his spaceship gets into a wormhole and travels through the time and space, he somehow ends up on a planet similar to Earth, but everything seems to be different. For starters, humans aren't the ones who are ruling the place, as it should be, but the apes. How? Leo is about to find out every bit of the history. As he gets caught by gorilla soldiers and put into prison along with other humans, Leo soon finds out everything he needs to know and leads a rebellion against them. And the proof that good news travel fast is the whole bunch of villages of humans getting together and standing up to the apes. With General Thade and his right hand warrior Attar on the front of the gorilla army and Leo and other humans on the other side, this war is about to begin.
