Prisoners is a crime drama staring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhall. One thanksgiving Keller Dover, his wife Grace and their children Ralph and Anna visit their neighbors to celebrate thanksgiving together in a lunch party. Anna and the neighbors daughter Joy want to play on the street and Ralph joins them. Anna asks her father to go to their house with Joy to find her emergency whistle and Keller tells them to call their brothers to go with them. Later on the two families realize that the two girls went alone and that they have vanished. They call the police department and a detective Loki is the one who is assigned to the case. The first suspect is a mentally disabled teenager Alex Jones, but he is soon discharged. One sentence comes out of Alex Jones which makes Keller think that he might know more than he is showing. Detective Loki is investigating the pedophiles near the location while Keller abducts Alex and tortures him in order to find where his daughter and her friend are. Prisoners is an intense and suspenseful movie with a dark atmosphere. Director did an excellent job at making the atmosphere the way it is, and he definitely managed to do it well. Actors did their part brilliantly and the plot is deep and complex. Viewers will enjoy the movie because of the plot and the actors, if you are a fan of suspenseful movies, give Prisoners a go!
