There is something that was always mystical and interesting to explore- vampires. Their world is always hidden from the eyes of the normal people and they are always in the shadows, lurking, stalking their victims. They only think about feeding off of the human blood and nothing else. Based on one of the novels from the trilogy written by Anne Rice comes a movie adaptation by Scott Abbott which was directed by Michael Rymer. The story begins as vampire called Lestat (Stuart Townsend) wakes up after hundreds of years of sleep. He discovers that the world has changed and that he can actually be a part of it. So, he decides to become a rock star which openly says that he is a vampire. Why? Because there are so many kids faking that they are vampires, that no one believes him. After showing his true face, not caring about the world, or the vampire code, both his old teacher and maker Marius (Vincent Perez) and Queen of the vampires, Akasha (Aaliyah), are back in his life. But, the only problem is young Jesse (Marguerite Moreau), a human who is investigating Lestat's past after hearing about him, with whom Lestat actually falls in love without even noticing. At one point, Lestat is put in the position to choose between having a queen by his side and ruling the whole world and spending the eternity with human that has become a vampire because of him.
