If you are having troubles keeping your kids quiet and in one place, this is the movie you should really consider including in your home theatre list. Based on Beverly Cleary's series of novels, adapted by Nick Pustay and Laurie Craig only to be directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum for the youngest audience to be pleased. The main character is a young and pretty creative and imaginative Ramona Quimby (Joey King). She lives in a middle class neighbourhood with her family. And her family consists of: Robert (John Corbett)- her father, Dorothy (Bridget Moynahan)- mom, Beatrice, aka. Beezus (Selena Gomez)- her big sister, and a baby sister. A part of their bigger family is their aunt Bea (Ginnifer Goodwin), their mom's sister. As it always goes, Beezus is older and always more mature, responsible and a great student at school. Unlike her, Ramona, who is younger, is a dreamer, not so great at school, but has a fantastic sense of making a huge mess and chaos wherever she goes. And in all of that, Robert loses his job in the middle of their house remodelling, which leaves the house done in half. Very soon the roles change- dad is a stay-at-home dad and mom is working at her old part-time job. Their aunt falls in love with her old flame, Hobart (Josh Duhamel), who decides to move back into his home, which is just next to the family, and their lives are officially in chaos. With lots of humour and funny situations, this movie will keep the kids glued to their seats.
