Meet Blu. He is a regular baby blue macaw bird. Well, almost regular. After getting his cage falling out of the truck in the middle of the road, little parrot Blue gets found by a sweet young girl Linda who raises him at her home in a cage. She teaches him every single little trick there is- how to eat, how to talk, how to behave in bathroom and so on. One day, Linda finds out just how special he is though her ornithologist friend named Tulio and that she finds out that he also has a female blue macaw in his residence in Rio. So, they go there on a vacation and place both birds in the same cage on the institute where he works. But, as they are having nice dinner in the evening, burglars break in and steel precious birds. And so begins the great adventure of Blue and his female friend Jewel. Along the way we get to see what is the most of things that Blue can't do, such as to fly, although he is a bird. This animated movie is perfect for the large kids parties as well as for lazy days with bunch of friends. Is you want to have a good laugh in the style of Ice Age or Madagaskar, this is one of those movies.
