From the director of Hairspray- Adam Shankman, comes a unique musical comedy that will blow your minds. Based on Broadway musical writers Allan Loeb, Chris D'Arienzo and Justin Theroux made an amazing screenplay for the movie called Rock Of Ages. The plot of the movie follows more characters and their stories. It is year 1987. On one side, there is a lovely young couple Sherrie Christian (Julianne Hough) and Drew Boley (Diego Boneta). Each of them has a story from the past. They are both new in the world of show business on Sunset Boulevard and they start falling for each other really quickly. On the other side, there is an ageing rock singer Stacee Jaxx, who is still great looking, but as all rocks starts lives off of groupies, drugs and alcohol. He is invited to, actually, save the day. The basic problem is when a local rock club called The Bourbon gets into financial crisis when Mayor's wife (Catherine Zeta-Jones) decides to run a political campaign against it and the only way they could raise money for the taxes is to get Stacee to perform at their place. It is all exaggerated and pretty predictable, which is exactly what you expect of a comedy piece with amazing actors. Throughout the movie you can see a fine satire and social critic. Also, for those who are into rock, they are going to love this piece if not for acting crew, than for the choice of amazing rock songs that are used in it- from Def Leppard, Foreigner, Journey, Poison, Twisted sister and much more.
