One of the most famous and heartbreaking love stories ever written was Romeo and Juliet from Shakespeare. It was and it remained till this day a unique piece that can not be outdone. Throughout the centuries, this story was adapted into plays, movies and various performances. But, no movie was this good as Romeo + Juliet, which was directed by Baz Luhrmann. Two main roles were given to Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. Two of them did an amazing job in portraying two passionate young lovers from the families that are in feud. At Juliet's birthday party, that is one of the most expensive in the modern suburb of Verona, Romeo and his friends decide to sneak in. Since it is a ball under masks, they have no problem. As two of them meet for the first time, they fall in love, not knowing who they really are. After their relatives start finding out, there is a lot of gunshots to be heard and lots of dead people are to be seen. As the story goes on, we see how the young couple in love tries to find the way to run away from home and get married. As Romeo is exiled from the town, due to murdering Juliet's cousin in a duel, he doesn't get the information about Juliet's plan in time. And Juliet's plan is to drink a potion that will make her heart stop for a while, pretend she's dead and then come back to life. As he sees her dead in the church, he drinks his poison and lies next to her, only to find out that she is awake. Juliet, on the other hand, kills herself due to his death. With the both story and dialect unchanged, this movie is a masterpiece.
