Safe Haven is an amazing romance drama, written by one of the best selling authors Nicholas Sparks, who was a huge success with his novels The Notebook and Dear John, and directed by the same guy, who directed Chocolat and The Cider House Rules, Lasse Hallström. If you liked those movies, you'll certainly fall for this one as well. Throughout the movie you get to follow a young woman named Katie, who suddenly appears in a small town called Southport in North Carolina. As she tries to lay low and not get involved with any of her neighbours, people seem even more eager to meet her. In spite of her decision to keep her guard up, she meets and gets pretty close with Alex, who is a widower and a father of two amazing kids. And as the time goes by and she gets more relaxed, suddenly, she finds out that a danger from her past keeps on haunting her and won't stop. As always, her first instinct is to run and hide, but this time, Alex cares to much about her and won't let her go. Will she run away and leave him behind? Or will she stay with his and find the way to fight her dark past? It is a movie that shows that love can actually conquer all, not because it's love, but because it's being stronger with someone by your side.
