Do you know the feeling when you want to come out of the bubble your parents put you in and explore the world on your own? Well, that's exactly what is happening with Bethany, the main character of the movie called Sassy Pants. This is one hilarious movie that both contains comic and dramatic elements in the right amounts. Director and writer of the story Coley Sohn has turned this piece into an amazing movie for watching. The story revolves around young teenage girl called Bethany (Ashley Rickards). Her controlling mother, June (Anna Gunn) has had her finish school at home, and now has the same idea with her college. After Bethany says that she would rather go to fashion school and find none support from her mother, she decides to take her life into her own hands. She packs her stuff in a backpack and goes off to her father.. Who is, by the way, homosexual and has a boyfriend a lot younger than himself. But, that's where the funny part kicks in. As Bethany struggles to find an appropriate job for herself and it all seems to be going down spiral, she gets frustrated. Throughout the movie we see her experience new situations, new things and getting to know the real world, the one without her mother smothering her all the time and keeping her under her wing.
