Have you ever wondered how it looks like to be a plantation owner at the beginning of the 20th century and what could man do in that time? Here is a chance to take a peak into that kind of lifestyle and meet the main character, Ward Allen. He inherits his plantation at one point but decides he doesn't want it. Instead, he chooses to life freely on the water, hunting ducks and doing whatever he wants. His faithful companion is Christmas Moultrie, his friend, who was a slave and knows how to live life to it's fullest now, when he has his freedom. As the time goes by he meets a lovely woman named Lucy Stubbs, who is brave and unusually different for the time they live in and even defies her father in order to marry him. After getting arrested and brought to court for hunting summer ducks, Ward Allen gets a chance to fight for all the hunters and their writes. Amazing performance of Jim Caviezel brings this wild life character to life as well as his charisma and eloquence. Jaimie Alexander and her lead female role both show strong feminine side in the 20th century in America. Annette Haywood-Carter is a proud director of this family drama that is about 100 minutes long and reunites the families during their film marathons.
