There isn't a person that would refuse the chance to visit some of the past times, past events, meet some of the greatest people who changed the way that people think. One of those people is certainly great poet and writer William Shakespeare.Well, here is the chance to get a glimpse of how his life looked like and where did he get the inspiration from for everything he had written. Will Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes) was very well known writer and poet, but he was still struggling. As the times were different, he managed to cross over two men, Philip Henslow (Geoffrey Rush) and Richard Burbidge (Martin Clunes) and sold them the same play. But, that isn't the problem yet. The problem is that he is without inspiration and hasn't even started with the writing. He has no idea what to write about. He spends his days looking for a woman that will inspire him, but not even that helps to much. At least it didn't until he met gorgeous Viola de Lesseps (Gwyneth Paltrow). She is a fan of theatre and would gladly get on the stage, but that was forbidden for women at the time. So, two of them not only get into an affair, but also she disguises herself as a man and goes by the name of Thomas Kent in order to be able to play in some of the plays. As their love grows, they soon realize that they are trapped in harsh reality- he is married and she is promised Lord Wessex. Their forbidden love gives birth to the most amazing and famous masterpiece ever written- Romeo and Juliet.
