If you get into the situation where you see "Welcome to Silent Hill" sign, be afraid. Be very afraid. Silent Hill is no ordinary city. And that is exactly what this movie is all about. It shows how you even get to Silent Hill and what is going on there. The centre of this story is Rose Da Silva (Radha Mitchell) along with her daughter Sharon (Jodelle Ferland). Young five year old Sharon sometimes has the episodes when she sleepwalks, but what is more scary is she talks in her sleepwalking sessions about a place called Silent Hill. At one point, scared for her daughters safety, Rose decides to take her on the visit to this city, although he husband isn't agreeing on that. Rose creates a car chase, gets a police officer in her car involved and ultimately crashes, only to discover after waking up that they have made it to Silent Hill. What she doesn't know is how scary that place is or where her daughter is. Now, she must deal with a panicked police officer who wants to arrest her, with all the monsters that appear in the town as the dark goes down and the sirens go loud and with someone called Alessa (Jodelle Ferland)- a dark version of her daughter, the owner of the hell she's in. Finally, after a long time battle, Rose manages to get Sharon out, but it costs her her life.
