Every now and then a guy who owes money to a local gangster gets cornered and has no where to go. That's when surprisingly creative things happen. Meet Jimbo. He is an average guy who happens to be in great debt to a mob boss. And instead of paying in cash, mob boss gives Jimbo a chance to sell him his new born son, because his daughter needs one. After refusing but still having a debt to pay, Jimbo gets cornered and in very bad position. He starts robbing everything and every place he can- from fish market to a antique shop. As he gets cornered by both the police and that mob boss, he flies into a curio shop and takes the assistant named Sophie as his hostage. One guy tries to help him out in all this mess, and that is Joe Maguire. After finding the way for Jimbo to settle his score with the mob boss, they first must make a plan to get out of that store alive and not arrested by the police. This comedy drama, that was directed by Terry George and has Brendan Fraser, Colm Meaney and Martin McCann in main roles, will keep you laughing for as long as it lasts. With the simple plot and great actors in his film, this director has his success guaranteed.
