Love and magic have always been side by side. Our story begins in 1800s, as a young boy, Tristan tries to win over a heart of his beloved one. For her, he goes on a quest to retrieve her a falling star, that is just behind a magical wall. He manages to pass the guard, not realizing what kind of adventure await for him. At the very beginning he finds out that a shooting star is actually a nice looking girl called Yvaine. As they head back to the real world, he discovers that he isn't the only one who is looking for a falling star. Three wicked witches are at their tale as well. During their escape from one of them, they find themselves in clouds, and soon afterwards on a ship of flying pirates. Their captain plays rough until they are alone and then reveals his darkest secret: he loves dressing up as a girl. The captain decides to smuggle them and gives them a ride home. At the same time we get to see another story, of rivalry between brothers that are about to inherit a throne of their father. After their sister was missing, it is up to them to give a successor. As they fight amongst each other, and while everyone is looking for the girl, we find out that Tristan is actually son of Una, the missing princess. But, with the witches after them and everyone else, who is looking for Yvaine, will they make it to the wall? This family adventure with fantasy twist, which is directed by Matthew Vaughn, is going to tell you all about that.
