From Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich comes an amazing science fiction piece that will change the way that people see fiction movies. The story stars in 1928, as the local archaeologists have found a strange thing in Egypt while they were on an expedition. The object they have found was unidentified and they have no idea what does it serve for. Decades later, young and pretty awkward Dr. Daniel Jackson (James Spader) has been contacted by the top secret military group to come and decipher the symbols that come from an antique world. As he spends days and days working on that, he manages to get the name of the artefact they have found- the Stargate. What does it do? According to the hieroglyphs, it opens up the portal to another world, but they aren't certain to which one. From that point on, they form a troupe, along with Dr. Jackson, which will visit the world behind the gate and explore their environment. The team is led by colonel Jonathan 'Jack' O'Neil (Kurt Russell). After getting there, the whole troupe gets to know the world that resembles the Earth, but with people believing in the Egyptian god Ra. Soon, they will discover all the dangers as well as the secrets that this mysterious Stargate keeps.
