What is the movie Stella Days about?
Based on Michael Doorley's novel here comes a movie adaptation, that was written by Antoine O. Flatharta and directed by Thaddeus O'Sullivan. The main role in this movie has Martin Sheen, a very well known and famous actor, the father of also famous actor Charlie Sheen. He plays the role of a priest Fr. Daniel Barry in a rural town in Ireland. He is a devoted priest who has spent his time serving in America and in Rome and has settled in this small town with pleasant people, and who has a passion for Cinema, language and music. And he has found a way to improve getting the church visited more often. After the Parish Bishop (Tom Hickey) decides to build a new, bigger and modern church, the priests are the one with the obligation to raise the money for the project. So, Fr. Daniel Barry decides to make a large cinema, play movies that are appropriate for both church and lives if those people and help in raising the funds. He gets supported by Tim (Trystan Gravelle), who is a young local teacher. And on the other hand is local politician called Brendan (Stephen Rea), who wants to take over the power and lead people his way. Along the way, Fr. Daniel Barry finds himself getting closer to a young local mother Elaine (Amy Huberman), who got abandoned by her alcoholic husband, leaving her alone with a son Joey (Joey O'Sullivan). This Thaddeus O'Sullivan drama will surely keep you engaged throughout the whole duration.
