The Counsellor is a crime thriller with elements of drama directed by the great Ridley Scott, starring Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz. It is a story of a rich and successful lawyer, the Counselor, who is about to get married to his fiancee but soon enough gets entangled in a complex drug plot with a middle-man known as Westray. The plan ends up taking a twist and the Counselor has to protect himself as well as his future wife because the truth behind the drug business is uncovered and targets are eliminated. Ridley Scott is an amazing director, he has made plenty of memorable movies throughout his life and this movie can stand next to some of his greatest works. The cast is perfect, there are plenty of amazing actors in this movie, and all of them act in an exceptional way. The only problem could be that some of the scenes are lengthy, but not everyone will notice it or mind it. The dialogs are sharp, witty and very original, there are plenty of banters about some important subjects and the movie handles it pretty well. If you are looking for an interesting new movie directed by one of the best directors and starring some of the best actors in Hollywood, then you are in the perfect place. The Counselor is more than just a good movie, it is a movie which should be checked by anyone who enjoys a high quality flick.
