What is the movie The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby about?
An interesting drama "The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby" follows the life of a young married couple. Their marriage is rapidly falling apart and they need to find a way to deal with their problems and crises situations as they do their daily routines. First part of the movie is called: "His", where the story is told from the male point of view. The main characters are Conor Ludlow and his wife Eleanor Rigby, played by James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain. It describes every situation and every event that had happened to him and which emotions did those events cause in him. The second part of the movie is called: "Hers", where all the events are described and told from her point of view. Sometimes these events cross each others path, sometimes they don’t. When one gets his head wrapped around the title itself, "The Disappearance of Elanor Rigby", one realizes it can have lots of meanings. Throughout the whole movie isn't really clear if she really disappeared, physically, or is that just a simple metaphor for loosing oneself in the chaos that happens during the marital crisis. Performances given by both James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain were outstanding. This movie, directed by Ned Benson and released October 2014 is one of those, that are perfect for rainy long afternoons.
