Imagine you are a retired CIA operative agent and that one of your cases comes back to life. The whole story starts with a murder of the senator, which resembles a lot to murders done by one of the best Soviet killers. After the CIA gets informed about everything that the police found on the crime scene, they analyse the evidence and can not believe what they see. A suspicion falls on one of the best Soviet assassins called by a codename Cassius. That's when an old retired CIA agent Paul Shepherdson (Richard Gere) gets reactivated again. Since he was the one to fight with Cassius, and claims that he shot him in the chest, this is also suspected to be some copycat killer. To solve this case, Paul gets to team up with a rookie FBI agent Ben Geary (Topher Grace). As two of them follow the leads and track the guy down, Paul gives some good advices to Ben, but not just that. He gives him warning signs as well, what to watch out for, because this assassin, Cassius, doesn't care about his family. And with clever mind in his head and lots of caution, Ben starts putting the pieces together and getting on the assassins tale very soon. One photo will clear their doubts once and for good.
