What is the movie The Great Gatsby about?
Leonardo Di Caprio was one of the girl's dream boys from the moment they saw him in the role of Romeo in "Romeo and Juliet" and even more after his role of Jack Dawson in "Titanic". Now, we get to see him as a successful business man at the beginning of 1920s. The story follows the main character, Jay Gatsby, who was a war hero and had lots of money, and lived in the time that is as he says: "The buildings were higher, the parties were bigger, the morals were looser and the liker was cheaper." And beneath all that perfection lies a harsh truth- hysteria and mindlessness, jealousy and guilt tearing one man's soul into pieces.. until he goes mad. Gatsby's character got the perfect match in the world of Hollywood that is Leonardo Di Caprio. No one could do it better. And the rest of his acting fellow co-workers, which included Tobey Maguire, who played the role of Nick Carraway, Carey Mulligan, who portrayed Gatsby's long time love Daisy Buchanan, were the ones to make this movie as fantastic as it is. The director Baz Luhrmann has definitely created a masterpiece with this movie, when it was released in May 2013, and captivated millions of hearts across the world. It's a drama romance, perfect for long rainy days and evenings with your loved ones.
