Hobbit was written by J.R.R. Tolkien for his son some 90 years ago, there have been a few animated movies revolving around the story of Hobbit, but only now can we enjoy Hobbit the movie. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is the second part of the Hobbit trilogy by Peter Jackson (known for Lord of the Rings). The story continues right where the first part ended, the dwarfs and Bilbo have crossed the Misty Mountains and an even more perilous path lies in front of them. The group has to seek aid from a mysterious stranger before venturing into the Mirkwood Forest. Their task is to get to the Lonely Mountain where Bilbo will help them open up the Secret Door which will lead them to the hoard of gold guarded by the dragon Smaug. Gandalf the wizard leaves them and continues his own journey in the south. Bilbo and his dwarven friends will have many troubles during their journey, they will fight with evil Orcs and giant Spiders and they will even have some troubles with the Elves who had never liked dwarfs. Those who have enjoyed the first movie will definitely enjoy the continuation of story, this movie is even more beautiful than the first part and Smaug looks amazing. CGI is top notch and acting is believable and fun to watch, the actors have done a pretty good job. Fans of epic fantasy will have a blast whilst watching The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, but those who are not fans of epic fantasy should definitely give it a go.
