In the police force there are guys that are heroes. They risk their lives and chase the bad guys. After everything is done and criminals are behind the bars, they get medals for doing the bravest things ever. And then, there are those other guys, who sit behind the desk all day and do the paperwork. This movie begins with all the favourite action scenes that include P.K. Highsmith (Samuel L. Jackson) and Christopher Danson (Dwayne Johnson), who are typical movie cop heroes, jumping from car to car, not getting a scratch when it all ends. As one of their missions is over, they come back to the office and brag with it a bit. That causes for two behind-the-desk workers Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell) and Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg) to give it a shot. After all, they can do it, because they ARE police officers. From that moment on, the audience gets to follow series of hysterical events that are going on one after another and just as they think it's over, something new happens that triggers another sequence of chained events. As two of these cops stumble upon a highly profiled investigation, they manage to create even more chaos and mess than every criminal and hero cop ever did before.
