Meet Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway). She is a regular 16 year old high school girl, who is not so popular at her class. She not only looks dorky and nerdy, but doesn't actually care for makeup or classy clothes. She likes her sweaters and baggy jeans. Her friend Lily (Heather Matarazzo) is a bit nagger and is sometimes a bit hard to handle, but is one of the most loyal persons Mia knows. As her birthday comes closer, she gets to find out that she is, in fact, anything but ordinary. After her grandmother pays her a visit, Mia is shocked to find out that she is one and only successor to the throne of Genovia. And her whole life gets tuned upside down- from the hair and makeup to the way she speaks, walks, greets people, the way she behaves and who she hangs out with.. or doesn't. With the biggest secret ever, the one she can't tell to anyone, including her best friend, Mia tries to balance out being a princess and keeping her privacy to herself, without paparazzi getting some information on her. If you like to see what kind of troubles Mia gets through, and have a good laugh along the way, this is the "must watch" movie at any cost.
