Evan Oppenheimer is the man who is responsible for making one of the greatest ideas into a fantastic sci-fi thriller of all the times- The Speed of Thought. It follows the life of a telepath called Joshua Lazarus (Nick Stahl). He is guy who has the ability to read other people's minds, but that's not all he has. Along with this amazing ability comes also a degenerative disease, which limits for how long he's going to live. Up to him, no one has survived over 28 years. That's why he's under a treatment with pills that should decrease the process and give him some more time. With nothing to lose, Joshua has already started with excessive drinking, gambling, having fun with girls and just keep his mind off of the voices in his head. Sometimes that helps but at one point, that all starts piling up, to a point where he can't take it any more. That's what he meets a girl with similar abilities called Anna (Mia Maestro), who sparks a flame in him. Joshua's teacher, Sandy (Wallace Shawn), is the head master of the place called "The Home" that is meant for people with special abilities like them, where they can train and learn how to control them. Joshua and Anna manage to connect on the much higher level and experience love at first sight, but telepathically. This interesting theme will keep you engaged until the movie ends, which is exactly the goal.
