At some point in their lives, people hit the same type of behaviour as if they were teenagers again... But, only worse, because of their experience and knowledge. That happens around 40. Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann) are a couple that has to deal with that. As it wasn't bad enough, they are both turning 40 in the same year. And it all starts feeling like they are getting too old for fun. Instead of celebrating their birthdays, they are more and more depressed and stressed out about turning 40. Pete is an owner of a record label and that is starting to fall apart. Debbie, on the other hand, can't deal with the fact that her body doesn't look like it used to. Two of them also have issues regarding their marriage as well as family- with their two gorgeous girls constantly fighting because one is becoming a teenager and the other one is just too young. Besides work, Pete also has to deal with his dad, who is constantly borrowing some money from him, and Debbie wants that to stop. What to do? One of the funniest scenes is when Pete and his friend fantasize about their wives dying and them getting remarried.
