Thor is an action adventure movie based on a popular comic book character named by the ancient god Thor. This movie was directed by Alan Taylor and stars Natalie Portman, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, only to name a few. Thousands of years ago, Dark Elves tried to send the entire universe into a never ending darkness by using a weapon called the Aether. Warriors from Asgard managed to stop them but their leader, the evil Malekith escaped and waits to strike again. Warriors find the ancient weapon, but it can't be destroyed, so they hide it. In the present day, Jane Foster waits for Thor to return, and Thor is trying to bring peace to the nine realms. Thor wishes to return back to Earth, but his father, Odin refuses to let him go. When Thor learns that Jane has disappeared he returns back to the Earth where he finds that Jane has returned with a new found power. They go back to Asgard and learn that Jane managed to cross paths with Aether and it entered her. Malekith senses that the time to strike is now, and that's how an exciting new adventure begins. Thor is an excellent entry into the world of Marvel characters. Thor: The Dark World is a pretty good movie, special effects are gorgeous and the story is interesting. This movie will definitely entertain you even tho there is a bit less character development than in the first movie. If you are a fan of Marvel comics or maybe new to the whole Marvel world, one thing is the same, this movie will entertain you, and that's what is most important.
