Meet Gus (Clint Eastwood). He seems like an ordinary old guy who is in retirement. But, he's anything but that. He is a baseball scout and his team can't wait for him to retire. The only thing he asks them is to do one more scout to prove that he can still do it. Since his friend Pete cares for him, he finds Gus' daughter Mickey, who Gus left long time ago when she was young, and asks her to take care of him. He also mentions his eyesight is going worse everyday more and more. The doctor, who is looking after Gus, advises him as well to get his eyes checked and treated properly, but Gus is one really determined old guy who doesn't back down. His scout assignment takes him to North Carolina. Mickey, his daughter, decides to go along with him and spend some quality time as well as get some answers to events from her past. In all that chaos, they get across Johnny, who was once a player Gus noticed and now a scout as well. As the story goes on we get to see father and daughter coming closer as well as Mickey herself find love besides her fathers friend, Johnny. With acting crew that involves Clint Eastwood, Chelcie Ross, Amy Adams, John Goodman, Scott Eastwood and Justin Timberlake, this is a movie worth watching.
