Daniel Waters did a great job with a screenplay he wrote, based on a novel written by Richelle Mead. The "Vampire Academy" novel was one of the best selling in 2007, so it is no wonder it has inspired a group of people to make an exciting action- fantasy movie. Zoey Dutch was playing protective Rose Hathaway who eventually fell in love with Dimitri Belikov played by Danila Kozlowsky, Lucy Fry was Lissa Dragomir who wanted became a queen, and all that was wrapped up in a slightly humorous fantasy with a dash of a mystery and horror.
