If you haven't heard for Van Wilder, then you're on the wrong college. Van Wilder (Ryan Reynolds) is one of the most famous guys in the campus. What does he do there? Studying is certainly not one of those things. He is the man to go to if you need a party to be organized, or some kind of a fund raising. He is the master in those. But, when his father finds out that he is still in college, and that he has been there for seven years, he decides to cut his funds. That turns Van into a professional party planner, who must now get some cash for what he does. And so he hires a personal assistant who will help him with everything he needs. And there is no better guy from Taj Mahal Badalandabad (Kal Penn), because he is the same type of party planner as Van. In the meantime, cute blonde girl Gwen Pearson (Tara Reid) comes into picture. She is working on a human interest piece on him, but he is a tough cookie when it comes to getting any information about him. So, she writes everything based on what she can get, and those are public records of the college as well as the people who do want to give an interview. But, that piece doesn't turn out quite good and Van is forced to deal with her as well as with the fact that he needs to grow up. Two of them start falling for each other, but there is a little problem along the way- her snobby boyfriend from a stuck up brotherhood.
