White Reindeer is a dark comedy about a girl named Suzanne who suffers an unexpected tragedy who is struggling to put her life back together during a sad Christmastime in suburban Virginia. It is a weird tale, not for everyone, but those who appreciate independent movies will surely enjoy this one. Some scenes seem to be a bit weird, but they all add up to the whole experience of White Reindeer. Sets aren't that great, they are all set in small homes and it doesn't look like much attention had been put into making them seem more lively, but that is not a bad thing. Viewers will appreciate it for what it is, it ads some sort of a rustic image to the movie, and it functions great! Pacing can be a bit slow at times, but not everyone will take it as a bad thing. There is a lot to be said about the storyline, it is interesting, engaging and most importantly very original. The movie captures the feeling of living in a suburban neighborhood very well, the viewers will feel like they are there. If you are a fan of independent movies or you just want to watch a movie which doesn't fit the usual Hollywood mold, then by all means give White Reindeer a go!
