Aidan Bloom is the main star of 'Wish I Was Here', he is a struggling actor, a father and a husband who is struggling to find his identity at the age of 35. Aidan feels the need to find a purpose in his life, something which will make his life worth living. More troubles head his way when his father can't pay for the private education of his grand kids and the only available public school is deteriorating. Aidan decides to home school his two children and teach them everything there is to life in his own way. During this process he slowly starts to uncover some parts of himself he wasn't able to find before. Zach Braff does an amazing job in playing Aidan and he does an excellent work of displaying his emotions. It is nice and refreshing to see this kind of acting and it will certainly appeal to a more broader audience. Even tho this movie is a family drama, there are plenty of funny scenes to keep the momentum going and they don't become tedious or overplayed. Everything and everyone in the movie seems to have his/hers or its own place and no one seems to be an addition for the sake of having more people in the movie. This flick should definitely be checked out by those who are struggling with their own life and need to find an inspiration. This movie is definitely worth watching by anyone who appreciates a funny drama.
