The humans have always feared of what they don't know. First, it was the rain and the thunder, after that was special abilities, electricity, or something like that. Today, that's aliens and alien life form. So, it doesn't come as a surprise to think about what would happen if the humans got the chance to live with mutants, the people that have rare genes and modifications, that enable them various abilities. Some of them can freeze things, some move them with their telekinetic powers, some can control the weather, some can control the metal.. There are various things that someone can do and there are various abilities that one can have. What is more important is, how will that person use these abilities and for what. This movie deals with the the reactions of the humans who discover that there are mutants amongst them. Will they fear them or not? One of the main characters is Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), who is the founder of the school meant for mutant kids. There they can learn to control and use their powers, whichever they are. His crew also includes Jean Grey (Famke Janssen), Scott Summers, aka Cyclops (James Marsden), Ororo Munroe, aka Storm (Halle Berry) and lots of others. Two characters are added to the whole story. One is young Marie, aka Rogue (Anna Paquin), a runaway teenager girl, who gets saved and escorted by Logan, aka Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). In their fight against Eric Lensherr, also known as Magneto (Ian McKellen), Charles and his students do their best in keeping the tension between humans and mutants as low as possible.
